ExPERIence Nandos : Central Richmond

Last week I had the pleasure of visiting the new Nando's location in Central Richmond. If you're not familiar with Nando's, they're known for their PERi-PERi spiced flame grilled chicken. I've been a fan of Nando's since I first tried it years ago and a known chicken lover so you can imagine my excitement when they invited me to come in and check out their new location.

This particular location was beautifully decorated and had the ambiance of a dine-in restaurant as opposed to a fast food chain. We walked in and were led to a corner booth (plenty of room for the four of us). The Casa garden city location offers a wide selection of both alcoholic and non- alcoholic beverages. I was curious to try the alcoholic beverages so we started the night with a pitcher of Sangria and were also given a side of garlic bread.

Since there were four of us we were served a " Familia" platter. This included a whole chicken, two skewers, two Nando's sides, and garlic bread. As sides we ordered the Garlic mashed potatoes, PERi-PERi Fries ( a must!!!), peas, and spiced rice. I love their PERi -PERi fries but they were even better served with the PERi- mayonnaise.

For dessert, we were kindly given Pasteis de Natas , which are portugese custard tarts and a bowl of frozen yogurt. It was my first time trying the Natas and loves the creamy texture of the filling and crispy crust.

We had such a great time visiting this new location and were so stuffed with all this delicious food! Thank you so much to Nando's to extending this invitation to us and to the kind staff at Central Richmond. If you live in the Richmond area I definitely recommend you check out the new location now open in Garden city!
